We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Take £1 from everyones national insurance contribution and buy a lottery ticket.Take £1 from everyones national insurance contribution and buy a lottery ticket. This will distibute wealth and create many millionaires in different social classes. Good causes will benefit from the increased contributions from the Lottery fund.
Who takes what out of every £1 spent buying a lottery ticket?
Camelot say
In the period up to March 2010, around 28% of total National Lottery revenue is expected to go to the Good Causes.
During the new licence, over 50% of total National Lottery revenue is expected to be paid to winners in prizes, while 12% of total revenue is expected to be paid to the Government in Lottery Duty. National Lottery retailers will earn 5% in sales commission
So you Gareth Williams, want the government to give £2 per week for each working person (one assumes that you wouldn't sanction the purchase of a ticket for the non-contributing) to Camelot to enter them in the National Lottery draw so that the government can claw back 12p per ticket in lottery Tax? Which budget would you have them cut (please say the fakecharity budget)? How much do you think this would cost to administer? I'm willing to bet that it would be more than not doing it.
