I have asked a number of residents in a village on the outskirts of my city that recently went " 20mph "; did the Council consult you or just state what they were going to do ? They all said the latter.
There is now a "slow down 20mph" flashing sign on the main through-road for the nu-speedsters, which accounts for about 95% of vehicles passing through, including buses and police cars.
