Wishing people a Happy Christmas could be seen as an "insult" or even an "obscenity" as not everyone is in a position to celebrate, a bishop has warned.Oh for fucks sake is this what we've become? An Anglican Bishop telling Christians not to wish people Happy Christmas in case it insults them? I'm no more or less offended by any belief system (provided those who practice it do not intend to force their beliefs on me) but taking umbrage because someone wished a Happy Christmas for me would take a special kind of stupidity that I sadly do not possess.
The Right Reverend Humphrey Southern, the Bishop of Repton, said it was a "hollow" greeting to make to those who were suffering.
"What could it possibly mean to the victim of bullying, ostracism or racial intimidation in your workplace or neighbourhoods or community?"
The whole 'offence by proxy' culture that has seemingly taken a firm hold in this country is fucking stupid and not helped by the comments of The Right Reverend Humphrey Southern.

I started to read this assuming it to be the work of a liberal lefty apologist ( not an ethnic since they tend not to be bothered ) but like youself, was astounded to see this utter wank-toss drivel being spouted by one of our own Bishops. FFS man, grow up.

You're pretty unique in that, though. It seems the lunatics have well and truly taken over the asylum with the 'fear of offence' thing...
