the internet is raping your children. or something.

From the Telegraph
Letting children play on the internet is just as dangerous as allowing them to roam the streets unsupervised, according to Professor Tanya Byron, the clinical psychologist and television presenter. The professor, who was commissioned by Gordon Brown to investigate the harmful effects of video games and websites, said parents needed to think more about the dangers of the internet.
'was commissioned to investigate the harmful effects' presupposes that they exist.. .. ..
An EU-wide study found 40 per cent of teenagers had been exposed to pornography online, 20 per cent had been bullied and 10 per cent had met someone in the real world they had 'met' in a chatroom or a social media site.
How were these statistics gathered? By asking children (bear with me on this)
Facebook is the sixth most popular site among six to 11-year-olds, she discovered hidden in a report by Ofcom, the media regulator. She commented: "I'm intrigued that Facebook is there given that you are not allowed to be on Facebook until you are 13."
Maybe that's because kids, like adults, don't always tell the whole truth. Which puts the previous statistics in doubt as well, doesn't it.

I have a message for Prof Byron. Fuck right off. Ok? Good.

"An EU-wide study found 40 per cent of teenagers had been exposed to pornography online"

Should read "An EU-wide study found 40 per cent of teenagers succesfully accessed pornography online".
