The Telegraph highlights the call by the Local Government Association’s Labour Group to increase taxation (yet again). Called Putting Fairness First (pdf) it includes the proposals to increase council tax and business tax, to introduce congestion charges in all towns and cities, and move all rubbish collections to a fortnightly service.
Tell me again why people would want to re-elect them?
