Mirror, that well known politically neutral newspaper, comments on David Cameron's latest proposal to reform the tax code.
The Tory leader wants to encourage marriage by skewing the tax system in favour of couples who have wed. But one in three children are raised by a lone parent or a mum and dad who are not married. And they will suffer.
They will suffer because they are not getting the extra benefit of the tax break? How much suffering will there be?
The scheme would leave poorly-paid households £30 a year better off
So the scheme would 'leave' the poorer married households £30 a year better off than under a Labour government? That's awful.
