If we do nothing then the climate will be as warm as it was thousands of years ago and the sea will be as high as it was thousands of years agoAll I get from that is 'natural cycle'. Am I missing something?

rajendra pachauri in copenhagen
While I was queuing in the bank I caught coverage of the speech given to the Copenhagen summit by Rajendra Pachauri, Head of the IPCC. The BBC presenter helpfully informed us that Rajendra is an Industrial Engineer by training (both his degree and Ph.D. are in Industrial Engineering) when the coverage cut from his speech. Leaving that aside we should focus on what he said to the world's media (who have yet to report it online. As soon as I can find a link to the video or a transcript). He said words to the effect that
