A government backed scheme to rid the country of old boilers was launched today. Under the proposals the government will assist you to get your old boiler replaced with a younger, more efficient 'A' rated model.

Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband said: “The scheme will save around £200 off heating bills per year for families that replace their old boilers, and in total will save the same amount of carbon as taking around 45,000 cars off the road.”

The news has been welcomed in working men's clubs across the length of the country. "She's been driving me nuts for years" said Arthur Tripplewhippet, 60, "but until now I couldn't afford to ditch her for one of those slimline models. I've had my eye on a Thurman, or maybe even one of those Knightlys, for some time now."
