A BNP member spent a decade building up an arsenal of weapons in a bedroom hideaway that could have been used to target Muslims.to the body of the story in which the word 'muslim' doesn't appear at all. Amazing isn't it, the speed at which these things happen.

As far as I can tell this guy lived at home with his Mum. He's been making these sort of devices for quite a few years but has never used one. He's also made many guns of various sizes and types but has never used any of them either. He's never even taken them out of the attic he uses as a workshop. He's never threated anyone or harmed anyone in any way.
Now I'm not in favour of folk building potentially lethal weapons in their bedrooms, in fact the sentence he received seems pretty fair.
My real problem is when you compare what he got against the sentences imposed on various murders, thugs and rapists who have actually harmed people. They dont get long enough anyway, some less than 11 years!. Then they get 50% off for no good reason and are out in the blink of an eye to carry being violent antisocial scumbags. No sign of this changing anytime soon no matter what happens in the GE.
What do we have to do to get proper sentencing for violent crime?
