gas

A gas blast demolished a block of flats in Shrewsbury yesterday morning. A number of people were injured during the blast but it is believed there were no fatalities.

The blast is believed to have been centred in the bedroom of flat 13c. When firefighters started to search through the remains of the building a strange green mist was still apparent.

We managed to locate and interview Johnny, the owner of the flat, on his way to hospital. "I don't remember much" he said. "I was in the pub last night with the boys. We had nine or ten real ales, then we went for a curry. The next thing I remember is waking up covered in rubble."

"I mean, I'm always a bit lively in the mornings from the yeast and chillies. Never done me any harm before."

The police are continuing their investigation.
