a personal message to the weather

My sons have asked that I make a post on their behalf just in case the weather happens to stumble across this blog.

With all of the news dedicated to the snowfall, travel disruption and closed schools my sons are more than a little pissed off that we had lots of rain last night.

The town to the East of us had snow.

The town to the West of us had snow.

The village to the North of us had snow.

All we got was rain.

Their school is still open while hundreds of others, including their sister's school, are closed.

So, weather, if you are reading, my sons aren't very happy that they missed out on the snow and, more importantly, that they are in school today.

Both snow and rain are forms of precipitation: the difference is the air temperature, as snow will melt into rain if it passes through a warmer atmosphere.

I suppose the question is: is there a lot of hot air rising from your town, perhaps due to an unusually high concentration of politicians in the area...

Hey Xanthippa.

I think the biggest obstacle we face in living next to the sea .. .. that said we have snow right now so they may get their day off tomorrow!
