spot the mistake

This video is a virtual drive through of a planned one-way system through the St Augustine's area of Norwich. Can you spot the hideous error? That's right! There's nowhere near the correct level of traffic or pedestrian activity*.

Town planners continue to promote ridiculous 'upgrades' to road layouts with glossy hi-tech 'ideal world' presentations without even a nod to actual conditions. Then, when congestion rises, councils propose charging motorists to reduce the number of vehicles entering the area.

Pay for fucking up the road system, pay again to use the fucked up road system. Can anyone spot a cheaper solution?

*If you know the local area you might also spot that a number of roads and buildings have been replaced by countryside.

One springs to mind involving rope and trees.

Oh, computer modelling. The wonderful creation which allows the righteous to fool MPs into thinking their daft schemes are workable.

Second Life for scumbags.

DEFENESTRATION!

It has worked in the past - unlike what your city council is doing now!

Still....count yourself lucky you don't have the 'Ottawa City Council'!!!! Defenestration is too good for this lot!

Imagine...low on money...are running a pilot project to burn garbage to get electricity -so far so good....but, then they introduce a 'green-bin' composting programme, where every household is supposed to put tons of 'compostable' stuff into the 'green bin' instead of garbage, to help mother Earth....

And, they signed a 20 year contract with a company to do the composting - based on delivering them minimum 70lb of compostable 'stuff' per household per collection period.....except that...the green bins only hold 40 lbs of 'stuff' tops!!!

So, we will have to pay hefty penalties for not delivering enough - at over 20x the cost of picking up regular garbage!!!

Oh, and due to the diversion through the green bins, there will not be enough garbage to run the plasma thingie - so no electricity generated....

You have GOT to be happy you don't have OUR city council!!!
