supplies

All the recent media panic about the potential shortage of gas supplies has prompted Gordon Brown into decisive action. While the nation slept he was out there, braving the snow and ice, getting down to the market to buy some extra supplies to see us through the worst of the cold.

A Downing Street spokesperson said "Gordon braved the recent treacherous conditions to personally go and get the gas. He looked around all of the stalls to find the best deal for the British public. Can you imagine David Cameron taking that kind of proactive decision?"

Photos of the Prime Minister struggling back to Downing Street with three blue and white striped carrier bags full of gas will be available later.
