Gordon Brown has once again, at PMQs, pushed forward the idea that the Labour Party are the party of change. Voting Conservative would be, according to the current Prime Minister, voting to keep things the same.
Millions of normal people across the country who do not have the astute grasp of politics that many senior members of the government possess are utterly confused by this assertion. The message that changing the party in power is going to reduce the amount of change has flummoxed many.
"So what he's saying" said one young voter "is that no change gives us more change but a change gives us less change? I can't get my head around that. I think I need a lie down."
A government minister quickly appeared to clarify the position. "If you keep us in power then there will be a change but if you elect the opposition then there will be no change. It's really very simple to understand."
