80s poster campaign

An undignified scramble has begun among cabinet ministers to release posters of themselves as 80's TV icons in the wake of the announcement that a new poster campaign against David Cameron is to be announced. The pre-release of the Cameron/Hunt image was received rather differently than had been hoped as the narrative focussed on the many positive qualities of the character rather than the negative ones.

Late last night, when it became apparent that the campaign had backfired, the race to produce posters of ministers began. This unseemly rush has lead to many high level disagreements as senior figures in the Labour party jockey for position to be depicted as the most popular television characters. Keen to present a united face to the public party enforcers have instructed that no-one may take personal credit for any image that is created or released until after the election.

It is beleived that Ed Miliband will be denying knowledge of this poster to the media between 3pm and 4pm this afternoon.
