pax-man

Is anyone in any doubt that Clegg would not be so keen to be interviewed by Paxman after his success on Thursday night ....

At least he did the interview the other week. Gorgon and cast iron both refused as they knew they would be found out.

Cleggy has certainly played a blinder over the last few weeks....

The thing that imp[ressed me about Cleggy is that he hasn't gone wild. There's no "go back to your constituency and prepare for government" moment.

What I detest is that even though the swing according to the polls is huge, and in one case something like 7 or 8 points in front of the Labour lot, they would still be the third party by miles.

This has to change. We've lived in the past for far too long.

WV = clogi (which is near enough to Cleggie to be spooky

Perhaps Clegg saw this coming, MW. There's bound to be another round of interviews - perhaps the BBC will Brillo him this time.

Fausty - I think, given that he's already had his interview and the other two are only now reluctantly agreeing to consider putting themselves in front of Paxman, the chances of a second interview of Clegg and a mauling are pretty much zero.

There's no reason for him to risk everything at this stage whereas when he did the interview he wasn't viewed as a serious alternative. (I'm not sure if he's yet viewed as a serious alternative)
