clip-clop flip-flop Clegg

Less than a month ago Nick Clegg was telling anyone who would listen that the election was not a two horse race. Now he has decided it is a two horse race and that he is the only challenger to Cameron.

The problem is that he is still likely to only have the third largest number of seats in the new parliament which means that he has conceded that for all his noise he is not actually in the honest race for the keys to Number 10. Clegg might offer to 'nip round the back and let you in' in the event of a photo finish on May 7th and get his hands on the prize that way. He is, after all, a politician and will therefore do or say anything to accumulate more power.

One wonders exactly what the next reversal of position will be. Will the flip-flopping accelerate as we reach May 6th? Will the hour before polls close see Nick Clegg contradicting his own policy positions before he has announced them, furiously disagreeing with himself over the 'fair' way to do things?
