No idea at all what type of arachnid this is but my daughter took the photo less than a mile from our house and she said the body was around an inch and a half long.

No idea at all what type of arachnid this is but my daughter took the photo less than a mile from our house and she said the body was around an inch and a half long.

Wasp spider, I believe. Longrider had a post on them on his blog a few weeks ago.

Another bitey thing to worry about that I was innocently ignorant about 5 minutes ago... Thanks.
I've wolf spiders in my shed that are huge. Also loads of big fat buggers all over the garden. Something to do with their being less birds around?
