On reading the BBC story about fake alcohol you might be filled with fear and disgust. The article is, after all, written in that way. Fear that the cheeky Chateauneuf du pape you've opened for the evening may not be precisely what you thought it was and disgust that criminals are costing the country around £1 billion a year in lost revenue.
Or you could think "well if the government hadn't taxed it so highly in the first place it wouldn't be so fucking profitable to fake would it?"

WOW!! Have I been drinking METHENOL all my life then? I just thought it was a couple of beers "over the eight" that did it.
And any way. When you consider what the schemys are drinking that is NOT fake! White bloody lightning!!!
Come ON Methenol looks like the best quality Martell brandy after THAT stuff.
I'm happy enough with what I pay for my tipple but do feel victimized in that my brand of cigarrette is not available through dodgy geezer and the ciggy smuggling commumity. Something needs to be done about this blatant discrimination.

That is something the Government and the media just do not get.
O.K so Tecos own Brandy is lobbed into a Martell bottle, re-sealed, and sold.
Even at "street market price" for Martell, you are paying LESS than you would in Tesco for the shite you are ACTUALY getting from the "street market", be it in another botle.
And THIS means that the "fake indignation" methods which they use with some success against smokers, just does NOT function when it comes to saving MORE than a couple of quid on a couple of bottles of plonk and a carrier bag full of bakky.
