..... surely if you're a government department and you don't want to advertise something on the internet then including a chunk of the content in your RSS feed that gives out a substantial amount of information is a bit, well, silly?

A bit like when the identities of the murderers of Baby P were supposed to be secret, backed by fierce injunctions, yet those names were available to all and sundry at the website of the Magistrates Court to which they were initially summonsed, Wandsworth, I think.
I found them on a cached feed or something like that before finding the actual page at a time when the msm were being their usual spineless selves.
Usual public sector techno-failure.
Anything more complicated than a rubber stamp, piece of red tape or box to tick seems to totally baffle the bureaucratic brain.
