Haven't seen the ad. Unless it turns the tap on as well, it's considerably less useful than it might at first appear.
Help prevent? Shan't be buying that.
I thought the same thing, but I suppose the logic is that people's hands are dirty when they pick up the bottle of liquid soap so some germs stay on the outside.
Still a complete waste of money though.
