Mark Wadsworth informs me that there may be some doubt as to the identity of Beauty, the cat stolen by convicted criminal Christine Hemming (estranged wife of Lib Dem MP John Hemming), paraded around the media this last week. It's been alleged that the miraculous find is nothing of the sort and is an entirely different feline.

So where does that leave cat stealing Christine's PR machine? I assume they'll be working double overtime ....
